Varieties of certification

Certificate of Conformity

This certificate confirms the compliance of imported goods with the technical regulations of GOST R or the EAEU. Such a certificate is issued for certain types of goods. Such goods include various oils, heating radiators, industrial protection equipment and others.

The procedure for issuing such a certificate consists in conducting tests by a specialized accredited laboratory, obtaining a conclusion and on the basis of this conclusion, obtaining a ready certificate. This certificate can be issued both for a batch of goods and for its series.

Declaration of Conformity

Declaration of conformity as well as certificate of conformity is a mandatory form of certification of goods. Declaration of conformity is issued on the basis of test reports and technical regulations.

The main difference from the certificate of conformity is that the responsibility for the information specified in the declaration of conformity falls on the manufacturer or a third party specified in the declaration, in turn, when issuing a certificate of conformity, the responsibility is shared by both the manufacturer and the body that issued the certificate.

When issuing a declaration of conformity may be used test reports produced by the manufacturer’s own laboratory. The declaration of conformity is drawn up on plain A4 paper and has a unique number registered in the state register.

Certificates of sanitary and epidemiological control

Such certificates include phytosanitary, hygienic, veterinary and quarantine certificates. When issuing these certificates, it is necessary to pass a special inspection in the phytosanitary or veterinary control bodies. After obtaining the authorization documents, the certificate is issued.

Such certification covers goods of plant or animal origin, such as plant seeds, animal fats, meat, etc.

Letter of rejection

This type of certification is an official letter from an accredited certification body containing information about the goods and that the goods do not require a declaration of conformity or certificate of conformity.

Such a letter is necessary when the goods have a dual purpose and the customs authority can refer it to a group of goods subject to certification.
